I have a server on Solaris 10 running EBS 7.4. I have a server side directive
that skips all files in /global/zfs/proj/bx and that directive is used for the
default group. I have a second group that backs up (among other things)
/global/zfs/proj/bx. The default group backs up to ADD then clones to tape. The
Project group backs up to a different tape pool.
Problem: I ran out of ADD space and it took a couple of days to fix it. In the
mean time the default group backed up 23GB of data from /global/zfs/proj/bx.
The Project space did a same level backup of the /global/zfs/proj/bx and backed
up 2.5TB.
So, I have two problems. First, why did the default group back up ANY data?
Second, when I go to do a restore, the indexes seem "confused" about what is
there. For example, if I look at 03/19 there are 3 items in a directory. If I
look the day before and a few days after, there are 5 items. I KNOW there was
no deletion of files during this time.
Any ideas?
Thanks,
Matthew
