It would seem strange to exclude almost 2/3rds of the filesystem though.


To include the current date, use "savetime>=date".


I don't believe the equal sign is necessary on the "greater than" side. "savetime>04/01/2012" gives me savesets that occured on or after 4/1/2012. "savetime<04/01/2012", however, does not. It seems to be based on midnight of the date specified. So

    savetime>04/01/2012,savetime<04/02/2012

gives me all savesets from 4/1, but none from 4/2.
