The amount of data is not really the issue if the network is fast enough. 

Using multiple directories in the save set list to create multiple streams is a 
good idea but must not necessarily speed up things. For example, if you have a 
huge number of small files, then it might be better to rely on snapshot 
technology (SnapImage).
