Re: [Networker] Pools ?

We have a relatively small backup system. About 20 Windows servers and one
Solaris system being backed up for a total of about 3.5 TB per week. All
backups are directly to tape. We have 2 pools, "Backup" and "Backup Special"
plus corresponding clone pools for each of them. Backup is for the normal
backup cycles and Backup Special is for the Monthly archival backup and the
occasional special backup we may do. I think it's best to not make it any more
complex than is necessary.

Subject: [Networker] Pools ?
All,
Hello. I am curious how all of you are using pools today ? As we know pools
are very flexible and as a result can be very confusing. So I am curious...
1. Do you mix device types within the same pool ? (Disk and tape devices ?)
2. Do you select multiple backup levels for one pool ? (incrementals and
fulls etc.)
Please feel free to post you opinions on pools or send me a brief description
about how you use them.
