Getting an error off an LTO4 tape drive in an SL500 tape library - opening the library door
the drive has a red 3 displayed on it. Does anyone know what this means? Type of
error or otherwise? And how to fix it?
BTW how are tape drives in an SL500 libray power cycled?
I have a Qualstar XLS and my documentation for LTO4 SCD codes says a "3"
is a Firmware Problem. That you should collect a drive dump (not take a
new one, just copy the one that is already there) -- and provide it to
your manufacturer who will tell you what to do...
I have no idea about power cycling the drives in an SL500 -- on my
Qualstar, I would go into the web interface and tell it to power off the
drive and then power it back on.
