NetWorker Reporting tool can give you information/reports related to the data
that has been backed up on that NetWorker server. You might have to go in for
custom scripting in case you want a report comparing the data on the client
machine to the data that has to been backed up.

Subject: [Networker] Networker Reporting

I am looking for some way to report on the following to try and take out the
human element mistakes. So I need a list of all the files, Databases etc...
that are on a server, I need to know that we have backed all of these files and
then compare each file with what was backed up and provide a discrepancy
report. So if a person did not check a certain file or database I need a
report that shows that so we can remedy this.

Does anyone have any ideas. We are using the most current version of networker
and soon to install the DPA tool from EMC but according to EMC, this product
does not provide this kind of report. I am trying to basically get a list of
all the files on a server not selected to be backed up and report on this on a
regular basis.

Example...

This is what the server has on it
ServerA
                C:\
                                File List
                D:\
                SQL Instance
                                SQL Databases
                                Master
                                MSDB
                                My Database
This is what We are backing up
ServerA
                C:\
                                File List
                D:\
                SQL Instance
                                SQL Databases
                                Master
                                MSDB
                                My Database

REport that show: Discrepancies between what we have and what is getting backed
up from the file level to the database level

Server A
        Discrepancies Listed
Server B
        Discrepancies Listed
Server C
        Discrepancies listed
