Hello,

try the following command to get information about the spread of a saveset :

mminfo -q "ssid=xxxxxxxxxxx" -r "volume,fragflags,first,last"

You'll find the tape number and the offset of all savesets fragments.

The first tape has fragflags 'hb' and first offset starting from 0
The middle tape has fragflags 'mb' and offsets continuing (you can find
multiples tapes, order can be found with the offsets)
The last tape has fragflags 'tb'.

But remember that Networker grants only to clone completed savesets (see
ssflags of the mminfo command).

Denis

Objet: [Networker] Finding a complete saveset?

Hi everybody!

Old-server:
Quantum / ATL M1800 Tape Library
Solaris 8
Legato 7.2

New-server:
Solaris 10
NetWorker Management Console version 3.4.Build.187
based on NetWorker version 7.4.Build.187

I am scanning tapes from an M1800 library attached to a server
(old-server) configured as a storage node to an SL500 library attached
to another server (new-server).

Rather than scan all the tapes in I would like to start cloning savesets
from the M1800 to the SL500.

From a scanned M1800 SDLT600 tape I can see the savesets for a client
(I recreated the clients from the M1800 on the SL500 before scanning):

mminfo -q "client=m1800-infoserv" -r
"ssid,name,totalsize,savetime,volume,location"

  ssid name total date
volume location
3418546046 /home2 106854211132 17/12/2004 JET409S1
331553518 / 7174656244 17/12/2004 JET420S1
432216267 /home5 82487063016 17/12/2004 JET420S1
381884978 /apps 36443769348 17/12/2004 JET421S1
432216267 /home5 82487063016 17/12/2004 JET421S1

Yet when I try and clone I get: (/tmp/cloneid contains 3418546046)

[root@backupnew /]#> nsrclone -b "m1800 clone" -S -f /tmp/cloneid
5876:nsrclone: skipping aborted save set 3418546046
5813:nsrclone: no complete save sets to clone

Is there anyway I can piece together a saveset - say 3418546046
(although any will do for now) - and trace which tapes it is spread
across and start cloning?

Thanks

Paul
