Such problems can be easily fixed by editing the relevant res file. I have been editing the loaded volumes attributes for years before I figured nsrjb -HE does the job. All you have to do is go to /nsr/res/nsrdb and grep for it:

# cd /nsr/res/nsrdb
# grep 'type: NSR jukebox' */*
03/0021045b00000000000000004b5c145d8442100d:type: NSR jukebox;
0.04u 0.04s 0:00.09 88.8%
# head 03/0021045b00000000000000004b5c145d8442100d
application key:;
application name:;
auto clean: Yes;
auto media management: Yes;
autodetect id: <OVERLANDNEO Series      0506 at SCSI Bus 1 Target 0 LUN 0>;
available slots: 1-499;
bar code reader: Yes;
cleaning delay: 60;
cleaning slots: 500-500;
comment:;

Now, simply editing the file will set the attribute. You must take Networker down before you make the change and be VERY careful not to damage the file.

FOLLOW THESE INSTRUCTION ONLY IF YOU FEEL COMFORTABLE WITH EDITING TEXT FILES. DO THAT AT YOUR OWN RISK.

Networker licnesed for 9 slots (Autochanger Module, 9 slots/9);

Trying to limit physical/available slots in Networker to only 8; (1-7 to
be avail, 8th slot for cleaning tape). Could use extra help here! Thx

After this change, we re-started Networker services, but still same
license error.
