Thanks for all of the suggestions but no joy yet.

To clarify things a bit, we are running NetWorker 7.6.1 on Windows 2008 R2 x64.
The client Helios is a Solaris 7 client but I'm getting the same message for a
variety of Windows clients as well.

We have had some issues with our 10 GB NIC and have been switching between it
and the built in 1 GB NIC. That's probably the source of this problem but I
can't find anything to fix in those.

On the NetWorker Server:
Hosts file has not changed from what was working for the past several months.
Modification date was back in March. I looked at it and can't see anything
wrong.

Also, both forward and reverse lookup are working as expected for the server.

The server has a static IP address and hostname returns Apollo.

The file system backup for Helios worked but the index backup for Helios on the
NetWorker Server (Apollo) is failing.

Hi Dave

See if "helios"appears associated to the loopback on the /etc/hosts file.
If that is the case you need to remove "helios" from that line.

All of our backups are failing with the message:

name for the client `localhost'

* helios:index 5777:save: Cannot open save session with apollo

      *<ERROR> : Failed with error(s)

Only the index is failing to back up. The rest of the savesets backup
fine.

I've cleared the nsr\tmp directory and the jobsdb directories and rebooted
the server but that didn't help.

Anybody have a clue how to fix that?
