thanks for your replies so far guys;

i actually started allready yesterday to increase parralelism, after finding 
some info on it. i moved the console database to a group of its own and gave it 
triple of the standard parralelism. at started  a manual savegrp of that new 
group yesterday, but it appeared to hang;

ill keep you guys informed about this; its defintely something on which tehere 
isnt a lot of info posted on the net/forums
