Trying our best to provide effective data to our clients... we are
running into a slew of false failure reports.

"job finished with warning indicated"

We know what the errors are, and believe we can create a directive to
SKIP the files being written to during backup. Files that are writing
during save operation causing the error... Not a big deal, but when we
run reports on DPA it says failed when it is not. I know, in NMC if we
click on configuration, then GROUPS then the group name PROPERTIES, what
you look for is "Success Threshold" the options are SUCCESS or WARNING.

If threshold = Success - and job ends with warning - then the job
reports as FAILED
If threshold = Warning - and job ends with warning - then the job
reports as Success

Currently we have success threshold set @ warning, the job is completing
with warning but DPA is reporting failed.

This section is backing up 2.4 Petabytes a day
                Networker 7.3.4 backup server
Solaris 10 both client and backup server
                Running networker 7.5.build179
DPA v5.0 we can upgrade shortly.

Yes we have enterprise license to upgrade to 7.6.x but the shop is
migrating to NBU for cost savings. Which is unique because my last gig,
we migrated from NBU -> NSR for cost savings. /shrug

Trying very hard NOT to hear the UPGRADE NOW as an excuse/fix. This was
working and now it isn't... Just trying to find the right toggle.

Thoughts?

Semper fidelis et paratus! /ALE
