[Networker] Macromedia flash directory names in user profiles error

Hi All,

I have had a major problem over the last few months of aNetworker/powersnap file server backup failing for some unknown reason.I think I have finally tracked it down to be an issue with windows userprofiles and Macromedia flash internet cache data.In the user profile, Macromedia flash creates a directory for some ofthe websites that it has used. If the web address is incorrectly inputit can force the directory path to include a . (dot) at the end of thedirectory name. Note: You can type in http://www.bbc.co.uk....../(multiple dots) in mozilla firefox and one dot suffix in IEDo any of you believe this is an error of the URL protocol or is flashthe culprit because it over-rides the OS default of not allowing htedirectory with a . suffix to be created?

(X:\Data\Home\username\TSProfile\ApplicationData\Macromedia\FlashPlayer\#SharedObjects\JBZ2C7MW\www.hossintropia.com.\): No such file ordirectorycannot opendir "." (X:\Data\Home\username\TSProfile\ApplicationData\Macromedia\FlashPlayer\macromedia.com\support\flashplayer\sys\#www.hossintropia.com.\):No such file or directory

This is an unsupported way of naming directories and thus causes thebackup to fail completely every time.(http://msdn.microsoft.com/en-us/library/aa365247%28v=vs.85%29.aspx#naming_conventions)


My Question is. Has anyone seen this before?
