Hi,

about [1] in most environments, where I deployed it, ony minor problems.

about [2] yes, it is recommended to update storage node and server

about [3] no reboot required.

about [4]
it is indeed a "nice" feature of networker to delete the networker.cfg file
during the install of the client package. Thus it is a good idea to save the
file prior to upgrading on each client, where you really use it. Btw.
networker.cfg file is the local directive created by the networkr user GUI.

Regards,

Tobias

Hi All,

I'm planning to upgrade our NW server, storage nodes and clients to v7.6.1
from 7.5.1.4
All the servers are running Windows OS.

I read the doc. and have the following questions:

[1] Is 7.6.1 stable with windows ? Did you have any issues in your environment?

[2] Is it mandatory to upgrade the Networker server and storage nodes at the
same time ?

[3] Is reboot required ? Our storage nodes are the Prod. file servers

[4] Will you comment on below? It is given in the NetWorker 7.6 Technical
Guide..

"Back up NETWORKER.cfg file prior to upgrading from any version previous
to NetWorker
7.5 Service Pack 2 When upgrading from any version of NetWorker previous
to 7.5
Service Pack 2, the NETWORKER.cfg file must be backed up on each client
and used to
replace the new NETWORKER.cfg file created after the upgrade, in order to
maintain user
     preferences."

Thanks
