Save the client id of the orginal server. Delete the client in Legato and then
re-add, but make sure to set the client id to the older server. This will clean
up everything. The ::ffff smells of ipv6.

Subject: [Networker] Client Errors on Solaris after migration.

Hi,

We have multiple clients defined on physical solaris servers that are in a
cluster. Each of these networker clients have a name associated with the file
systems that they back up. This allows Networker to back up the client no
matter which physical server the file systems are mounted on.

We are migrating these clients to new physical servers (both old and new
solaris servers are running solaris 9). In addition, when these clients are
migrated they are getting a new IP address. For example, if ClientA has an ip
of 1.1.1.1 on the old server, once migrated it will have an IP of 2.2.2.2.
When the backup of ClientA is run on the new server with an IP of 2.2.2.2 we
get the following error:
SYSTEM error: client `::ffff:1.1.1.1` is not properly configured on the
Networker Server

The error is pointing to the IP address where the client once lived. DNS has
been updated to point to the new address (2.2.2.2).

Anyone have an idea about this error? I was assuming that the client would
backup okay once the DNS address for the old client was updated. Also, what is
the deal with "::ffff:" prefix on the IP error in the message?

Thanks, in advance, for your help
Jim
