Hello, list. Forgive the newb question that is about to follow. I scoured
around on the Internet before joining, but couldn't find what I was
looking for.

I inherited an old Legato Networker (pre-EMC days) box some time back. It
was running 6.1.4 on Linux/x86 (probably somewhere around 2.6.18).

The hard drive of the server has failed and I need to attempt to restore
it from the tapes. I'm hoping to recover the contents of the /nsr
directory in such a way that A) the licensing works on the replacement
hard drive once I install a new OS, and B) the state of the backup system
is recovered. In other words, I'd like to install a new OS, install the
Networker RPMs and recover the /nsr file structure from the tapes written
by the now-failed system.

I'm anything but a Networker expert, I knew enough to maintain the backups
that were already running and not much more. Any help that could be
offered would be appreciated.

Thanks in advance,
Roy
