So I have started installing NW 7.4 on a machine, in order to do my
disaster recovery of my old server, so I can read old bootstrap tapes and
do recoveries from my old client. However, NW doesn't seem to recognize
the 2 stand-alone tape drives on this machine. Note that this machine was
a storage node on my current server, and working perfectly, before I
removed NW 7.5.2, and disconnected it from the network and installed 7.4.

The log shows a warning that the 2 tape drives were found, but that device
drivers were not found, and to please install them. However, the OS *has*
drivers (in Device Manager in Windows, it properly shows both devices as
tape drives). I do have persistent binding enabled in the registry. Both
worked perfectly, when I had this machine configured as a 7.5.2 storage
node. Removable Storage is definitely disabled.

Any idea why it thinks it has no device driver? The OS is showing a
driver.

Any idea how to proceed? I just need to add the 2 stand-alone tape drives
(I can live with just one), so that I can then do the next steps (mmrecov
and "nsrck -L7"). Do I need to add each drive as a new device, using NMC?

Thanks
