Michael,

Thanks for the advise, I downloaded the config checker as you suggested.

After running it, I discovered the Echange account I had been provided with did 
not have sufficient access rights.

After the Exchange admin delegated full admin to the applicable user from 
within exchange, everything worked fine  :D  :D  :D 

I was going down the wrong route assuming it was a syntax error or such like 
for the client resource ...
