Hi,
It works now. I'm scanning!
As my storage node has an "Adaptec SCSI Card 39160 - Ultra160 SCSI" and
its driver is "adpu160m.sys".
I've created under:
HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\SYSTEM\CurrentControlSet\Services\adpu160m\Parameters\Device
a "MaximumSGList" REG_DWORD with the value of:
128k 33 decimal 21 hex
Then, I've rebooted the server and check with "mt -f \\.\Tape1 status"
to see that the maximum block size is set to 128k instead of the default
64k value.
Then, I've started scanner again and it's working:

Great! The command from the storage does more things than from the

After that, I have the tape in the volume list but "empty" because the
scanner command didn't read anything. I'll search about this SCSI
configuration to see if this solves the problem.
Thank you.

Not sure you can use scanner with a storage node device brom backup
server.
Try once "scanner -s <server> v -b "LCFIB Historicos" -i -p -z \\.\Tape1"
from the storage node.

Subject: [Networker] Why scanner doesn't read tape after nsrjb mount?
Hello,
I've loaded (without mount it because it isn't in the media database
and I can't do it) a tape into a remote drive in a storage node using
the command:
C:\>nsrjb -v -l -n -f rd=storagenode:\\.\Tape1 -S 51
setting verbosity level to `1'
Info: Loading volume `HIS101' from slot `51' into device `rd=storagenode:
\\.\Tape1'.
The tape is loaded into the drive (I can see it physically and in the
Networker Administration console) but when I try to scan it, I get the
following error:
C:>scanner -v -b "LCFIB Historicos" -i -p -z rd=storagenode:\\
.\Tape1
8909:scanner: using 'rd=storagenode:\\.\Tape1' as the device name
39077:scanner: error, read open error: No media in drive.
Any idea about this problem?
Thank you.
