I have an odd problem. I have a MS SQL cluster resource that seems to be
grabbing a regular client license, instead of a license for a SQL Module,
and I don't understand why.
>nsrlic -vv | more
12116:nsrlic: License Summary:
66441:nsrlic: Available: sv=90, virt=0, ndmp=0
64047:nsrlic: Borrowed: sv_borrowed=0
66442:nsrlic: Remaining: sv=0, virt=0, ndmp=0
69792:nsrlic: Connected Clients:(90)
.... <SNIP> .... pssql4
12128:nsrlic: NetWorker Module for Microsoft SQL Server: Available=20,
Remaining=5, Used=15
12128:nsrlic: NetWorker Module for Microsoft Applications: Available=2,
Remaining=2, Used=0
That last client listed - pssql4 - is a cluster resource, and should be
using a SQL Module license, like these others:
NetWorker Module for Microsoft SQL Server
Available: 20
Used: 15
Remaining: 5
Connected Clients:
<SNIP>
pssql1, pssql2,pssql3, pssql5;
(all the "pssql*" are MS SQL cluster resource, and all were installed
exactly the same)
So, how do I determine why that one client is using a regular client
license? and more to the point, how to I get it to properly use the SQL
Module license, so that it frees up my regular client license?
