Hello Everyone,
At our site we have diskXtender 2000 implemented. The issue is that the
software or service running on the system appears to lock up from intermitenly.
When this happens the rest of the server still functions properly, just not
the disk extender service. If I try to restart the service, still have the
issue. The only solution is to reboot the server. Unfortuneatly, windows is
not throwing any errors in its logs, however diskXtender generates a log file.
A minute prior to the service locking up the event log always does this:
MSG 06/10 10:07:19 (1688) Agent background thread waking up.
MSG 06/10 10:07:19 (1688) Agent background thread going to sleep.
MSG 06/10 10:07:28 (4316) Filter (E:) background thread waking up.
MSG 06/10 10:07:28 (4316) Filter (E:) background thread going to sleep.
MSG 06/10 10:07:34 (1688) Agent background thread waking up.
MSG 06/10 10:07:34 (1688) Agent background thread going to sleep.
It repeats this for a few minutes before it totally dies. Is anyone familiar
with what the issue might be? I also noticed that before the above happens a
very large quantity of moves happen. Thanks!
