Hello,

I have tried the following;

> What you are doing is just scanning in all tapes to be recoverd. Best way to
> get the original client FQDN is run scanner -m devicename. This should return
> the pool and client names. Kill scanner and add in the client name and pool.
> Then run scanner -I devicename. After which you should be able to do a
> browsable recover from the client that was on the tape for the data on the
> tape.

this is the output from the command prompt

8831:scanner: (ssid 779472241) error decoding save stream

Then I open networker user

select my server

click on the recover button

Select on of the clients that I manually created

Select my server as the destination client

I get the following error message

"No index was found. You have not backed up any files for the source machine,
or you need to be connected to the server as the supervisor"

I thought that I was createing the index by using the scanner -i command???
