As a prior list member mentioned, it disables VSS backup altogether, and
utilizes ASR instead, so you should get the saveset you have defined,
regardless of this setting - that is of course, assuming all is well in
both networker server and the client. 

I'm not sure how you can suppress all of the messages if you still see
any with VSS disabled, but afaik, yes, that is what it should do.

Sorry for the confusion, and thanks for the clarification. Perhaps
someone else knows more about suppressing 100% of the vss messages, but
to us it is not a big deal as long as we can recover/restore data.

BTW - I *almost* envy you - we are moving to 2008 this year - MS'
Win2000 support ends in july, so those are getting pulled out as well...
