We have successfully recovered Solaris <--> Linux. It was a test we ran a
while back and I can't remember for sure in which direction, but it
definitely worked. I can't say that file permissions, etc., were all
perfectly preserved, but the data was there, FWIW.
Maybe it was a case of "possible but not supported"... ?
What if you used scanner and did a raw recover using 'uasm'? I bet that
would work?
