The new way of doing VMWare backups of virtuals is included in Networker 7.6.  
I have started reading the release notes/admin guide/install guide for 
Networker 7.6.  

Those of us doing VCB are going to have to "get our read on" and update to 7.6.

We received that email also from vmware.  Vcb 1.5 vmware support expires
7/25/10.
