Last night, I upgraded one of our small (5 clients) backup servers to
7.5.2 (win2003, x64), and was pleasantly surprised to see smtpmail
actually working. I can now get all of my bootstraps mailed to me,
without the use of a 3rd party mail system. Prior to 7.5.2, I couldn't
get it to work, and neither could EMC support.
One big drawback - is the fact they are telling us (in release notes),
that cloning and save processes can consume more than 8GB of memory.
Could be interesting, once I put this on my larger (200+ clients) backup
servers.
Anyone else try 7.5.2 on Windows x64 yet?
