I have found this to be quite valuable...since I, like most people, rarely have
to restore something that is beyond its browse time:

Hope it helps.

We are being asked to restore information from several years ago and I'm having
some problems.

When I try to set the index I'm trying to recover to "notrecyclable" with the
command:

-----
nsrmm -S 1234567890 -onotrecyclable
-----

I get the message:

-----
Save set 1234567890 cannot be marked as notrecyclable.
Please specify the ssid/cloneid of the particular clone instance.
-----

When I tried to change the browse/retention times with the command:

nsrmm -S 1234567890 -e "03/01/2010" -w "/02/01/2010"

I get the message:

Cannot change browse/retention time of recyclable save set 1234567890

Can anyone offer me any advice?

We are running Networker 7.5.1 but the original backups were done with 7.2.4.

Thanks, Dave
