I think I may have resolved it. This happened after powering down the server, 
so I am not sure why that would affect the Autochanger. Instead of right 
clicking on the autochanger and selecting enable/disable, I opened the 
properties and selected the Enable radio button. I've restarted the server a 
few times to see if the Autochanged became disabled. I'm running backups now to 
fully test.
