A few questions on port numbers for NMC?

The installation documentation says:

"For the web server port number, use the default port number (9000) or
use a custom port number. Valid port numbers are between 1024 and 49151.

For the Console server, use the default port number (9001) or use a
custom port number. Valid port numbers are between 1024 and 49151.
Note: Do not use port numbers already in use. Port 2638 is reserved by
the NetWorker Console software by using the Tabular Data Stream (TDS)
protocol to communicate with the database. Port 9002 is the preferred
port for EMC Backup Advisor product."

1. I thought I remember reading somewhere - maybe on this listing -
about some command to set ports that you're supposed to run before
installing NW on the server? Maybe that was something else entirely?

2. Do most folks use the defaults?

3. I assume the installation will prompt for these?

4. Best way to change these values later?

Thanks.
