Hello Jens,

This restriction is a result of the fact that the NMM (a NetWorker
client) needs to remove snapshots according to a snapshot policy, and
NetWorker Server requires admin access to do so.

As an example: If a policy has been set to retain 4 snapshots, then upon
the 5th backup, NMM needs to delete the first snapshot, which is a
privileged operation.

I realize that I have only paraphrased the information that you already
had; I hope that this is helpful.

Thanks,
_Scott

Hi Scott

Thanks for your answer. Could you explain why it is so?

Kind regards,
Jens
