individual server?
If you run NMC client on the the Master server connecting to the master nmc
server?
(trying to figure out if it's the network or the version)

Also, does your desktop hostname resolves from the master server?

It could be the network environment...
but I'm just speculating from the fact that group details works when NMC
client is run from the same machine as the NMC server.
