I was looking at RHEL5, but it's a hardware compatibility issue with our ML6000
(ADIC/Scalar i500) libraries andLTO-3 tape drives - EMC HCL lists RHEL AS4 as
the latest supported version. :(

It can be, but I honestly see no reason to go to the length of mmrecov
unless you want to practice your DR technique.
If you're keeping the same version of NetWorker and not doing something
like switch architecture, there's no reason why you can't just *carefully*
copy all of /nsr from the old system to the new system.
Just curious -- why are you moving to RHEL4, instead of RHEL5?
