I have been reading this thread and I see these symptoms quite a bit with 
Windows servers. 

My question is....if you set Persistent Binding at the HBA level WHY would you 
also need to change the registry setting in windows?

This has been an ongoing battle over what should/shoudn't be done when it comes 
to windows and Persistent bindings....
