Hmm.. I would say it really depends, and I'm not quite daring enough to
guess on exactly what, but it sounds like it may be platform-related, or
perhaps your run-of-the-mill types of "environmentally-related" issues.

For example, we recently went from 7.4.2 to 7.5.1 on Win2k3 32-bit, and
have no issues I'm aware of. We have about 50+ clients both windows and
linux, as well as ndmp, exch and mssql modules, with 2 CDL's etc etc...

Since the upgrade (Which went just fine, no issues other than silly
windows installer related-issues on the un-install prior to the
upgrade) we aren't experiencing any issues that I'm aware of, and I've
watching things pretty close.

OTOH, we have no complex firewall requirements, we don't use
"snapimage", and obviously, environments are all very different...

Personally, I would say go to 7.5.1, I love it! :)

Cheers,
Jamie

My understanding from this discussion here is that the 7.5.1 version is
a
no-go.

-Problem with the ports

-problem with shortname/FQDN

-GUI problem
>From this discussion it also seems EMC is not doing anything about this.
Is
there no explanation?

Why did they release the sp 1 if it's just crap?
