Curtis,

I'm fully aware that that the EDL4000 series contains Falconstor. However, I
have seen better performance from an EDL than a "home-made" Falconstor
library.

I guess it is the mac/pc argument as to why OSX is more reliable than
Windows. One is built ground up for specific hardware, the other is genersl
purpose.

My point being, just because you get a certain performance out of
Falconstor, it does not mean you'll see it on the EDL.

Good luck on the testing. Will be very interested to see the results.

Siobhan

I'm starting to be won over, believe it or not. I had a nice long convo
with FalconStor about this last week, and they said kind of the same thing
you said.

I asked for some tests to prove it, since the performance is the only thing
that really matters here. They're going to do it and get back to me.

Yup.

That's exactly where I'm at, too.

LOL. Maybe it came across that way. Sorry about that. I type a lot, and
it doesn't always come out the way I mean. What I'm saying is that if they
expect me to change a long-running, well-proven design, they're going to
have to prove the new design before I do so.

>As you say, in the end, we need concrete testing.

I've asked for it. Hopefully I'll get it soon.
