[Networker] nsrmmd polling interval message
2009-05-08 12:58:55
Hi,
I am currently using NW 7.3.3 (network edition) with 5 storage node licenses.
3 of them were already allocated to the servers which are in a MS cluster and
each one has 8 devcies.
Today I have used virtual host name and added it as one of the storage nodes
(4th).
Found messages in the logs after I allocated adv_file type device to this
storage node,
Check storage node < host name> (nsrmmd is missing from polling)
Restrating nsrmmd on the <host name >
nsrmmd started on <host name > as requested
Check storage node < virtual name> (nsrmmd is missing from polling)
Restrating nsrmmd on the <virtual name >
nsrmmd started on <virtual name > as requested
Check storage node < host name> (nsrmmd is missing from polling)
Restrating nsrmmd on the <host name > in 2 minutes
nsrmmd started on <host name > as requested
Check storage node < virtual name> (nsrmmd is missing from polling)
Restrating nsrmmd on the <virtual name > in 2 minutes
nsrmmd started on <virtual name > as requested
.......................
.......................
........................so on
Deleted the adv_file device as well as an entry for the storage node.
and I didn't see these messages after that.
NW server > media properties
nsrmmd polling interval: 3
nsrmmd restart interval: 2
nsrmmd control timeout: 5
Any suggestions ?
How can I configure storage node for virtual node in the cluster ?
How many licenses (3 or 6) NW needs if all the three the storage nodea are
configured using both the virtual and physical host names ?
