Hello,
Just add a exclusion on the AV client not to scan nsr directory and also

there are option during setup to avoid scanning files opened for backup,
i
would only consider real time scanning.

Symantec AV on Networker Server

I'm running a networker server on redhat 4. Is there a best practice on
what to and what not to scan using Symantec AV for Linux on a networker
server? I'm running into issues with one of Symantec's processes taking
up 100% cpu when I perform networker actions...

I already hear your first question....Why run av on a linux box... J
Because of the business we're in we have to abide by rules from an
outside source. One of the rules is to run av software on all our
boxes....
