My /nsr (my networker index as I understand it) directory is currently

moving that directory to a different location on the same server.

We are using Networker 7.2 with Solaris.

The other feedback that's been given on this has already covered a lot of ground, so I'll just cover off an important caveat - it's a fairly good idea to _not_ just manually move the index then symlink /nsr/ index/client to the new location.

Various versions of NetWorker have really struggled to deal with symlinked index paths - instead, if you move an individual client index, make use of the "index path" field within the client resource so as to correctly point NetWorker at the right location.

(Should also add: moving indices to NFS mounts is even less desirable than symlinks.)

Cheers,

Preston.
