Hmmm.. I was reading
https://solutions.emc.com/emcsolutionview.asp?id=esg101896 , and it
sounds like you are right - Can anyone confirm, or verify that a
"Virtual client license" is not required for the esx servers for vcb's,
(Must be for bare-metal recovery of ESX?) ...

1. Licensing Changes

NetWorker 7.5 requires an Update Enabler code, when an upgrade from
previous versions is performed: ea7e6c-a61631-bf0db0

The following licensing changes which occurred in 7.4.x are also
applicable to 7.5

- ClientPak licenses are no longer required to backup client machines
whose OS differs from the NetWorker server

- Cluster Client Connection licenses are no longer required to backup
cluster clients. Upon upgrade, any installed cluster client connection
licenses will be converted to Client Access Licenses.

-VSS licenses are no longer required to backup Vista, Windows 2003 and
Windows 2008 VSS savesets

-In order to backup NetWorker Module for Meditech client, a license is
required

-One module license per application, per physical host is required for
for non-VCB based backups (VMware ESX Server)

- One virtual edition client connection license per physical host for
non-VCB based backups (VMware ESX Server)
^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^
^

(I.e - The last one must be for bare-metal ESX recovery only?)

Thanks!
