You will have to do your pre and post in the oracle script called in the 
save set attribute.. 

The save set attribute wiill call the actualy script so thats were the pre 
and post is.
save set = RMAN:script path and script name here.

So if this is an oracle backup and I have nsrnmo in the backup command
can I put savepnpc in there too?

Check out the SAVEPNPC command in the command reference. 

That's the command that will help you run pre-post backup commands.

I thought I could run pre and post commands with a networker client, but
I don't see it in the client properties.  I know I can use the "owner
notification" field, but I already have that running a script.  I need a
post command to run on the client itself to do some operations..  I'm
running 7.4.3.
