I would stop all, just to make sure although I think you only need to stop #1 &
#4
You don't have to run any of the commands before the upgrade. The reason to run
them is that if you have a corrupt index, doing an upgrade is a bad idea. The
nsrim and nsrck -m check the media database, and the nsrck -L6 does the client
index. If you can copy the entire NSR directory to somewhere else, it's less of
an issue and you could probably get away with a "nsrck -L5" or even "nsrck -L4"

Subject: [Networker] Upgrade to 7.4 SP3 ( Windows )
Hi,
These are the services associated with the networker
SERVICE
STATUS
[1] N/W backup & recover server Started
[2] Networker host agent Stopped
[3] N/W power monitor Started
[4] N/W remote exec. service Started
#3 and # 4 also run on storage nodes and clients.
Questions :
Do i have to stop all these services on all the networker components ?
N/W server is a Windows 2003 x86 server. Do i have to run all three commands
for the consistency check ?
Thanks
