If I were to set up a VTL, I'd personally go with option 1. Option 1allows all the storage nodes to see all the tapes, so if you have totake down a storage node for any reason, the rest can fill in and thingsstill work. Option 2 pays too much money to EMC for DDS licenses.Option 3, prevents you from migrating workload between storage nodes asyou move forward.

That is my opinion -- and I don't use VTL, so it's worth every cent youpaid for it ;-)
