We're having issues attempting to backup a MS Vitual Server client
(2005). Server is 7.4.2 on Win 2003 server. The group it is in will run
all other clients, but never completes because of this one client. The
GUI showed the group as running, but there were no active save-sessions
for this client, it just said 'contacting client'... I aborted the
group, had an Admin stop and restart the nsrexecd backup service on the
client, at which time the four VSS save-sets began sessions and
completed (VSS OTHER:\, VSS USER DATA:\, VSS SYSTEM BOOT:\, and VSS
SYSTEM SERVICES:\) . The client 'probes' normally via 'savegrp -p -v' &
I've put the client into a group of it's own and started it, but still
no sessions will start ??? Still says 'contacting client'... Any ideas
what I can check out next ??? Short of asking them to reboot the client
?
Thanks,
Paul
