I have a set up where we are doing ndmp backups

We changed the command line from

nsrndmp_save -T dump

to

nsrndmp_save -M -T dump

This works on every device we have except one. We get the following result:

10.8.165.79:/nas02
* 10.8.165.79:/nas03 savegrp: suppressed 1 lines of output.
* 10.8.165.79:/nas03 NDMP Service Debug: The process id for NDMP service is
0x6caf3f00
* 10.8.165.79:/nas03 42794:nsrndmp_save: Performing backup to Non-NDMP type of
device
* 10.8.165.79:/nas03 42658:nsrdsa_save: DSA savetime = 1218461250
* 10.8.165.79:/nas03 NDMP Service Debug: The process id for NDMP service is

* 10.8.165.79:/nas03 42770:nsrndmp_save: Host = cebackup.ce.us.pri.xxxxx.com
(10.8.166.66) port = 8561
* 10.8.165.79:/nas03 42597:nsrndmp_save: data connect: failed to establish
connection
* 10.8.165.79:/nas03 42886:nsrndmp_save: Unable to start the NDMP backup
process.
* 10.8.165.79:/nas03 nsrdsa_save : Aborted

* 10.8.165.79:/nas03 42913:nsrndmp_save: Save session closed with NW server
successfully
* 10.8.165.79:/nas03

We swtich it back no problems
