I hate that Networker is so dependent on DNS, another thing that must be
put back in place following a disaster before you can begin restoring
data... Data recovery systems should not depend on anything external,
period ! It's poor design IMHO.

Based on the errors you included, I suggest you look at the Windows firewall and make sure its either off or it allows the appropriate NetWorker ports to be accessed. If the SA insists the firewall configuration has not changed, you insist that he double or triple check and verify it.
