Thanks very much for your help. This solved the issue.

Can't believe it was a simple case of a shell
variable. Neither EMC 
Support nor Sun Support could solve this all last
week! Don't think it 
is documented anywhere either.

Thanks again for your help. We're on our way to now
configuring the 
Storage Node from the GUI.
