When attempting to recover any index for doing a restore outside our browse
time, I am getting the following error:

P:\>nsrck -L7 -t 3/1/2008 peoria
nsrck: checking index for 'peoria'
nsrck: The file index for client 'peoria' will be recovered.
nsrck: Recovering index savesets of 'peoria' from 'houston.salisbury.edu'
recover: recover failed: recover: RPC error: Unknown host
Recover completion time: Mon Apr 28 10:23:39 2008
nsrck: Recover exited status 254
nsrck: The index recovery for 'peoria' failed.
nsrck: File index error: error recovering index backups for 'peoria' on 'houston
.salisbury.edu'

nsrck: Completed checking 1 client(s)

Networker identifies the tape it needs, it loads tape in a drive, begins to
read the bootstrap tape (which is where our indexes are saved), but as soon as
it goes to look at the tape for the files, in networker you see the "starting
read" of the tape, but then it immediately fails.

I have done DNS lookups each way. I have put host file entries on the client
(for the server) and on the server (for the client), which does not help.

We have recently changed DNS servers, but I know Networker doesn't really
"live" in Windows registry. Nothing that I see points to Networker or my
server holding on to the old DNS servers.

Any suggestions on how to troubleshoot this further?

Networker Server 7.2.2 jumbo on Windows 2003.
