The ASR recoveries work rather well - as long as you're restoring to an EXACTLY 
alike server.  Same hostname, hardware, everything.  If anything is different 
you pretty much have to go the whole rebuild server - install Networker route.

Read that section in the admin guide - I've had pretty good luck with ASR.
