Hello,
You could use sysprep, or program like nlite to speed your server rebuild,
unlike platspin or Acronis true image software, restoring system state etc
on windows while on dissimilar hardware could be problematic.
You will still need restore and reinstall\reconfigure software\drivers,
but sysprep will shorten the OS build significantly, outside of this
interventions, a comprehensive imagine solution is your only answer.

[Networker] Server Recovery using Windows PE or Bart PE
Currently, if we need to completely recover a Windows server, we have to
install Windows, the current ServicePack, and the Networker client before
we can actually begin restoring from tape.
We've been looking at using a PE environment to streamline this but aren't
sure how networker will deal with restoring System Files, System State,
etc
Would the System State and System files be restored to the pristine C:\
drive along with the C:\ saveset or would they be restored to the PE
environment since that would be the currently running OS ?
We're using Networker 7.3.2 and 7.4.1 servers with a mix of clients
ranging from 7.1.x to 7.4.1
Has anyone had any luck using a PE type environment to do restores? What
tips/tricks/guidelines can you pass along?
