[Networker] Storage node nsrmmd
2008-04-06 09:55:01
Hey Guys,
I've run into an issue lately, where the nsrmmds on the index server
that handles all the drives on a storage node are no longer running.
The outcome of this is that when I try to read/write to one of the
drives on that storage node I can't. The only way I've been able to
resolve it is to restart the server itself.
Nsrexec and nsrmmd processes are all running on the storagenode
itself...
Any help in resolving the underlying issue would be appreciated.
Also if anyone knows if there is a way to restart an nsrmmd process that
would be a great bit of info.
Server
Solaris 9/V880
Networker(Sun EBS)7.2.2
STK9310 Silo with 6 9940B drives
Storage Node
Solaris 10/T2000
Networker(Sun EBS)7.2.2
Same Silo 4 9940B drives(3 of which are shared with a NetApp Filer)
FYI, this first time this happened it was actually the process that
handled the filer's drives that died.
Thanks!
Joel Fisher
