Hello,

We're in the process of migrating our "old" Windows 2000 cluster to a "new" Windows 2008 cluster in a new AD domain.

While we're installing, configuring and populating this new AD domain we need to do backups using Legato but, at the same time, we need to backup the "old" cluster too.

As we only have 2 cluster licenses and these are in use (we need to backup these servers until the last user is migrated), we get the following error messages:

Server info: Unable to grant NT CLUSTER CLIENT license to client newclusternode1: Too many clients for license type D0 Windows NT Server on Intel. Maximum is 2.

Is it possible to use temporary cluster licenses? How? The backups done with this temporary license are recoverable when we remove the old servers and use our old license?

Thank you very much!

Contact your EMC sales rep to request a temporary cluster connections license.
